Lip Enhancement

Lips are one of the most popular areas treated, they are also known as the most attractive part of the face.

â €

Lips are very personal, everyone has their own preferences. It’s absolutely possible to achieve very natural results, make your lips look plump and hydrated and not even change the size that much, if that’s what you desire and if you would like a bigger lip size it can also be achieved.

Hyaluronic acid fillers can improve the appearance of your lips by adding:

  • Structure

  • Shape

  • Volume

Does it hurt?

Lips are very sensitive, so a local anaesthetic is applied before your treatment to numb the area. There may still be some discomfort,  but will look to ease this as much as possible.

How many sessions do I need?

Often to create naturally looking, fuller and more defined lips takes multiple sessions. Your practitioner will advise regarding when and if you may require more appointments.

That's why prior to the treatment consultation is very important!

How long do dermal fillers last?

The effects of dermal fillers gradually fade, but will last on average between 6-18 months.

How do you prepare for a lip filler treatment?

In the week before the treatment, avoid taking aspirin (unless prescribed by a doctor), ibuprofen, vitamin E and fish oil supplements. These may increase bleeding and bruising. You can take paracetamol.

You must inform your practitioner of any prescription medication you are taking.

What happens after a lip filler treatment?

Post-treatment advice may include:

  • Ice packs to help to reduce swelling.

  • Paracetamol, is often not required but may be used if needed for a few days after treatment.

  • Arnica cream or tablets are sometimes recommended a few days before and a few days after treatment as there is some evidence that this can reduce bruising.
